Aakashkandil artistes seen all busy making Aakashkandils for the fast approaching Diwali festival at Merces.



Noted bollywood filmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar seen in the capital city. The filmaker is in Goa to locate some village locations for his forthcoming film 'Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se' featuring Abhishek Bacchan. The shooting of the film is expected to start soon after Diwali.



Diwali lamps and others decorative items made by the special children of the Disha Special School seen kept on sale at the Kala Academy's Art Gallery in Panaji.



Members of the Goa Democratic Decentralisation Movemnet seen during the dharna infront of the Junta House in Panaji. The dharna was called to demand the scrapping of the Goa Panchayati Raj bill (2009).



Primary students of the People's High School in Panaji seen coming out of the School wearing masks. The School re-opened after a gap of nearly 7 days after the School was shut down for a week following confirmed Swine flu cases in the School.



The Sattari Yuva morcha donated seven ambulances to the Directorate of Health Services in Panaji.
