New Delhi, Oct 13(IANS) Veteran Bollywood director filmmaker Yash Chopra was honoured as the Asian filmmaker of the year at the ongoing 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) in South Korea.
The filmmaker was felicitated by film festival director Kim Dong-ho Friday.
"You have to prove that you're good once again. You're only as good as your last film," Chopra said in a brief acceptance speech.
Chopra's production house Yash Raj Films also had a strong presence at PIFF considering his popular films, including "Lamhe", "Dhoom 2", "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" and "New York", were showcased in a retrospective section at the fest.
Kabir Khan, who directed "New York", which is about three friends and the impact of 9/11 on their friendship, was also present at the event.
PIFF, one of the largest film festivals in Asia, is being held Oct 8-16.
