Avishek set to become CAB's youngest Prez, Snehashish Secy


Kolkata, Jan 30 (IANS): Avishek Dalmiya is set to become the youngest president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) as he will be elected unopposed at the association's upcoming special general meeting on Wednesday.

The post of president was left vacant after former India captain Sourav Ganguly took over as the BCCI chief last year.

Ganguly's elder brother and former Bengal player Snehashish Ganguly will become the secretary.

As on deadline day which was Thursday, no one from the opposition camp filed their nomination.

THe 38-year-old Avishek is the son of late cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya and will become the 18th president of CAB.
