Hassan: Viral video - Man kidnaps woman, forcibly ties Mangalsutra - Arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Hassan (SP)

Hassan, Feb 6: The police, who have succeeded in cracking a case in which a lady was abducted, and the customary Mangalsutra was forcibly tied around her neck forcibly in spite of her forceful opposition, have arrested three of the accused within a day of the incident. They are searching for two other accused including the driver of the car used for the filmy adventure.

The video of kidnap had become viral, and the police had formed a team to find out the culprits. Manu Kumar (30) from Kudukundi village, Arasikere taluk, Praveen Kumar (23) of the same village, and Tarabenahalli Vinay (25) has been arrested. District superintendent of police (SP) Srinivas Gowda, said at a press conference on Wednesday, that the other accused Sandeep (26) and car driver, Gandhi, are absconding.

The girl is from Dudda revenue division of Hassan taluk. Her maternal uncle's son, Manu Kumar, had sought the permission of the girl's father to marry her, and the father had consented. Therefore he had kidnapped the girl with the support of friends, the SP explained.

The girl used to commute to Hassan from her village everyday for getting training in tailoring. She was kidnapped in filmy fashion. As she did not return home from tailoring class, her father had complained to Dudda police on February 4.

After the complaint was registered, a team comprising assistant superintendent of police Nandini, deputy superintendent of police Puttaswamy Gowda, circle police inspector Satyanarayana and sub-inspector Madhu, was formed to investigate the case. By then the video showing the kidnap and tying of the Mangalsutra had become viral in social websites. The police who intensifed their search, found out that the accused were in Bengaluru and Ramanagara, and rescued the girl.

After he learnt that his daughter had been abducted and forcibly married, the girl's father, who was overtaken by emotion, tried to end his life by consuming excessive dose of sleeping pills. He was immediately admitted into a private hospital here, and he is now recovering, family sources stated.

The girl appeared in Dudda police station and filed written complaint about the abduction and tying of Mangalsutra signifying her marriage. The SP said that case was registered against the accused based on her statement and the accused were produced in the court. The SP said that the case was registered after going through the video footage of the abduction and the statement of the girl. He said that even if the concerned enter into a compromise later, the police will continue to do their duty of following up the case as per law, and that there is no question of protecting the accused.

    Mr. Bhandarkar,
In your comment, You told you never related religion with the crimes.
But, look at your comment as following-
    Quote:
"Descendants of invaders, mass rapists, looters ,polygamists have selective amnesia while commenting in this portal.
Wonder why this Holier than thou attitude while it should be POLI er than thou....
...For they need not look back much...". Unquote.

So whom are you referring to in your comments. How could you recognize from the comments whether they are descendents of so on so? . Is it possible that descendents of so and so can have such and such qualities?

    Mr. Suresh,

Me sitting in Mangalore & someone in United states might worship same God! Does not mean that we are of same race or ancestral origins. Aryan mass invasion might be amplified by the British, but the invasion cannot be denied ! No matter how much these so called superior try to change history, the truth will flourish and cannot be erased. Freedom moment was a drama ! Falsehood about Gandhi & Nehru !! Where do you think all these are coming from ! If this was a Hindu land, our country should have been the most peaceful country in the world. As they say, Hinduism is a way of life, not a religion. Very sad to see all these people misusing & misleading people ! The people of the Indian subcontinents were among the simplest, like the red Indians.

Mr. Anwar, understanding Hinduism is not like cooking Biryani. Its not your cup of coffee, sanskrit words, you better concentrate in your religion and point out errors in it.

In Hinduism (sanskrit) " Arya" means the nobleman, and the invaders were called mlechchha (those who came from middle east) And " Dravida" means southern part of India. So any nobleman all over India including south India (dravida) was called "Arya" Just like nowadays people call us south Indian in mumbai or north India. In those days they called "Dravida"

    Mr. Suresh,
Since you asked me how Aryans & Dravidians worship same gods, I had to drag religion here!

& regarding your explanation above, where do you think Sanskrit came from ?? Do you think these people will call themselves as invaders if they are the one to bring that language, common sense ?

Aye ! & lets not use personal reference such as making biriyani and so, you are welcome for a biriyani anyways :)

Mr. Anwar, The Sanskrit language was termed as Deva-Vani (‘Deva’ Gods - ‘Vani' language) as it was believed to have been generated by the god Brahma (the creator) who passed it to the Rishis (sages) living in celestial abodes, who then communicated the same to their earthly disciples from where it spread on earth.

The origin of the language in written form is traced back to the 2nd millennium BCE when the Rig Veda, a collection of sacred hymns, is assumed to have been written after being continued for centuries through oral tradition and preservation of verbal knowledge in the Guru-Disciple relationship. The purity of this version (Vedic period, 1500 – 500 BCE) of Sanskrit is doubtlessly reflected in the flamboyance of the perfect description of the forces of nature in the Rig Veda.

During this period the entire Europe people lived life of nomadic, they hunt wild animals with stone tools, they used animal skin for clothing. Dont amuse me by saying Sanskrit language originated in europe,
