Bantwal: Man arrested under POCSO for sexual harassment of minor boy

Bantwal, Feb 7: Vittal police station personnel arrested a man on the accusation of sexually harassing a minor boy on the pretext of asking him to come to the toilet of the school saying that he has some matter to be discussed with him.

According the case registered in Vittal police station accused Suresh Prabhu (31), a resident of Kanyana village in Vittal of the taluk called the victim boy, who is studying in the ninth standard of a school, while returning after school, saying that he has to discuss some matter with him and took him to the washroom of the school and sexually harassed him. This incident occurred on February 1 at around 1 pm.

The complaint was registered by the mother of the victim on February 4. Police arrested the victim on February 5 after conducting preliminary investigation. The accused is slapped with 1860 (u/s-341,377, 506) and POCSO (u/s-4) sections of IPC.
