Kundapur, Feb 7: Raghavendra Kanchan Barikere, member of Kota zilla panchayat, who is accused of hatching the plot to murder Bharath and Yathish, was sent to Hiriyadka jail directly from the court as per the orders of the judge.

Raghavendra Kanchan had gone to the court on Friday, February 7, along with all the other accused in the case. Judge of Kundapur district and session court immediately ordered him to be sent to prison.

Mother of deceased Bharath had approached the Supreme Court seeking clarification on granting of bail to Raghavendra Kanchan by the High Court, though there is strong evidence that he is the one planned these double murders. The two-member bench of Supreme Court had cancelled the bail to Raghavendra Kanchan. However, Raghavendra was absconding.

Raghavendra Kanchan's attendance to court on Friday, along with the others, took everyone by surprise. The court has fixed April 1 as the date of next hearing. Till then all the accused are sent to judicial custody.
