Dubai, Feb 10: Maestro Events LLC presents ‘Dhwani Rangasiri Utsava’ cultural fest 5 pm onwards on February 14 at Emirates Theatre, Emirates International School, Jumeira, Dubai.
Renowned Kannada author Dr H S Venkatesh Murthy this year’s Dhwani Sriranga International theatre awardee will be present with Chief guests of the evening Srinivas G Kappanna (Vetern theater personality and former president of Karnataka Nataka Academy) and Ravi Hegde (Chief editor - Kannada Prabha daily).

During this occasion well known stage artiste couple Asha Correa and Donald Correa will be awarded with ‘Dhwani Puraskara – International award’ for their dedicated service to theatre and culture.
To mark the 35th anniversary of Dhwani, eminent business man and philanthropists Ravish Gowda, chairman, Fortune Grand Group of Hotels, James Mendonca, chairman, Reliable Fabricators LLC and Ramachandra Hegde, chairman, Spreytec Contarcting LLC, will be felicitated with ‘Dhwani Nrupatunga- Kannada Poshaka’ award for their support to the language and culture .
Kannada Jnanapeeta Award winners’ plays will be staged during the event. Dhwani artistes under the direction of Prakash Rao Payyar will present Girish Karnad’s ‘Wedding Album’ and Natkaduru Mudradi’s artists will present Kuvempu’s Shriramayanadarshanam based play ‘Dashanana Swapna Siddi’.
Cast of ‘Wedding Album’ are Asha Correa, Arathi Adiga, Gururaj Puttur, Venicia Rodrigues, Pallavi Shivanna Gowder, Sapna Kiran,Vinayak Hegade, Ashok Anchan, Vasu Bayar, Swathi Sharath, Anitha Dayanand, Prabhakar Kamath, Mohan B P, Deepak Somashekara, Venkatesh Rao ,and Rohan, music by Rohan Lobo Kalakul and Rajesh Adiga, light by Arun Manipal, stage settings by Adhesh Hasana and Ramesh Lakya and back stage was handled by Soni Gururaj and Naveen Sequeira.
Artistes of ‘Dashanana Swapna Siddi’ are Sukumar Mohan, Vani Sukumar, Sugandi Umesh Kalmadi, Sandesh Kotian, Deeksha, Ritika, and Sudheendra Mohan, light by Jagadeesh Jala, music by Ashit Jayanth Shetty, Narasimhan, Sugandaraj Bekal, Ganesh Kulal, Narasimhan, Latha Hegde, Ashok Bailoor, Rurayya Navali Hiremutt, Prakash Rudrappa,
Roshan Periera, and Padmaraj Yekkar are in back stage support for Ranga Siri Utsava.
