Beltangady: Dispute over right of way - Man stabbed, dies at hospital

Beltangady, Feb 10: It is learnt that there was dispute over the right of way between Umesh from Layila village, Beltangady, and Yogeesh (51) from Gandhinagar, Layila Beltangady, and his son Jeevan. The dispute ended in the loss of life of Umesh. 

It is learnt that at around 11 am on Sunday February 9, Yogeesh and Jeevan kicked up fight with Umesh on the right of way leading to their home, at the end of which they stabbed Umesh with a knife. Injured Umesh was admitted into SDM Hospital at Ujire. He was then shifted to Fr Muller Hospital at Mangaluru as he was in need of advanced treatment.

Without responding to treatments, Umesh breathed his last at the said hospital in the morning on Monday, February 10.

The police have taken both the accused into custody and are interrogating them.
