Kundapur: Car parked beside road gutted in fire

Kundapur, Feb 22: A Maruti Eeco car parked on the side of the road got completely gutted after it caught fire all of a sudden. The incident took place near Chittur, on Kollur-Hemmadi road on Saturday, February 22.

The vehicle belonged to Chittur resident Gopal Achar.

He had been home after parking it beside the road when it caught fire.

Locals used water tanker of road workers to extinguish fire. Fire tenders too arrived at the spot soon afterwards.

But the car was completely burnt despite their efforts.
