When the "temple has thousands of years of history" it is improper to demolish. They could have found alternative road system to diver the traffic or could have built a flyover or something similar. Why is it necessary to demolish a historical temple. I am sure the road came later but the temple was there before. This govt has no idea what they have done.

Should have constructed a flyover. State has enough funds for various unwanted projects and not to protect history and faith.
Totally condemnable and unacceptable judgment by the SC. Don't hurt the sentiments of faithful for any reason.

Temple was historical, it means the road must have been built after the temple?, why the road wasn't relocated or add an extra curve to save such a monument? This is sick!!!

There are many ways to retain a site of 1000 years heritage.
As in any sports event, before court proceedings, judges too be subjected for dope/alcohol testing!!!

I'm thoroughly heartbroken. The government uses religion as a fore front in so many matters but the same government makes little to no effort to reclaim and protect our heritage. A shame. The Supreme Court panel too should be ashamed of itself. What's the point of ASI if it can't even protect something of archaeological importance.

Shame on authorities who could not plan an alternative traffic to save this temple of thousand years existence.

When this temple has got thousands of years of history government could have made the effort of moving it to some place else... It's easy to destroy something.. I do agree with that it was obstructing connectivity but still when so many people prayed at this place it could have been moved to some other place nearby...

Yes.... Or they should have been made one alternative road... How anyone can think of demolishing thousand years of temple... If we feel so much, how much more our locals of that area and devotees must have been feeling! We need development in the meantime we should find solutions to keep the historical places.. Now, we lost forever... Sad
