Mangaluru, Mar 2: After endless days of intense heat, people of Mangaluru in the wee hours of Monday, March 2, were blessed with the year's first rains.
Southern parts of Mangaluru, Ullal, Thokkottu, Pandith House, Kuthar, Deralakatte, and places like Bejai, Bondel, Kavoor, Padavinangady among others received good amount of rain from 5 am.
The unseasonal shower brought the temperature down slightly.

Udupi
Parts of Udupi district experienced heavy rains on Monday morning. It started raining at around 6 am to continue till 8 am. Uchilla and others parts of the district received good rainfall.
The nostalgic fragrance of the soil pervaded the air as rain accompanied with light breeze drenched parts of twin districts.

Mon, Mar 02 2020It is good to know that Mangalore and Udupi had it's first unseasonal rains. It was a temporary relief from the heat but next we don't know. Let it rain as much as possible but people have to use the water wisely so that it will last the whole year. My thanks to Spoorthi Ullal and Justin D'Silva of Daijiworld for photo shooting of wet roads, streets, and houses after the early morning showers.

Because of our lack of awareness, Mismanagement, lethargy- people still are not getting 24/7 water.
Dont jump the gun and blame the govt.
Residents are rqually responsible for this.
