Bangalore / New Delhi / Hyderabad, Nov 8: Dissidence in BJP is now a history. In front of media cameras, everything is solved and Reddy - Yeddy faction together they raise their hands in front of public. 14-day-old serious problems in BJP have been solved within few seconds as Sushma Swaraj, BJP senior leader announced to media that, everything is under control, and we have come out with a formula that is acceptable to both factions.
Is it the Beginning of End of Yeddyurappa ?
Bellary Mining Lord and Dissident leader Janardhana Reddy reached Hyderabad's Novotel Hotel on Sunday late night around 11.15pm to meet his supporter MLAs, addressed the media in English , Kannada and Telugu. In his talk, it was a clear indication that, it was his victory. "A co-ordination committee will be formed in Karnataka, and according to this Coordination commitee Chief Minister will work henceforth. The commitee will be headed by Sushma Swaraj, and within a day or two other members of the committee will be announced by Sushma Swaraj in Bangalore.
The above important decision of High Command shows that, Yeddy will not have same power that he had untill now. He cannot freely take any decision according to his own or his supporters will.
"Such co-ordination committee are already existing in Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and other few states where BJP is ruling. So it will help us to work closely with CM" said Reddy
He apologized the people of Karnataka for the inconvenience caused to them, especially in flood-affected areas. He promised, in future everyone will work together for the development of the State.
In New Delhi, BJP spokesperson, and Karnataka's Central Government representative Dhanjay Kumar said that, CM Yeddyurappa has agreed for six-point formula, that has hleped to solve the problem in quick time.
According to Kumar, CM has already transferred Chief secretary B V Baligar. One Cabinet minister will be dropped from Cabinate soon, he did not name Minister. It is expected that, Shobha Karandlaje might make way for Reddys' pressure.
Also, CM has been instructed by the BJP High Command that, not to interfere in any of the Bellary matters. If he takes any decision on Bellary, it is only after the discussion with Reddys. Bellary development works will continue under the supervision of Reddys.
CM has also offered top cabinate position to current Assembly Speaker and dissident leader Jagadish Shettar. But Shettar has already denied the new position, as it is too late to accept such position, since CM had assured Shettar top position within six months from government forming in May 2008.
CM will also call back government officials whom he had transferred from Bellary couple of weeks back.
Looking at all above tough points, accepted by CM, political Pundits feel that, Yeddy is bowing to the money power of mine lords, and he cannot function as freely as he was doing in the past.
Only time will tell, how long this formula will work.
