Music Concert by Victor Concesso Has Audience Asking For More

Mangalore, Nov 9: ‘Victor Nite’, a musical concert by veteran musician Victor Concesso, was staged before a packed audience at Hoy Redeemer Parish Hall, Derebail, on Sunday November 8.
Victor’s 80th show and the first in the city, was organized by the Catholic Sabha of Derebail parish unit. Victor is a Derebail parishioner settled in Mumbai and had staged the previous show at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, Mahakali Caves, Andheri (East), Mumbai, on Sunday October 25.
Victor and his musicians from Mumbai enthralled Konkani music enthusiasts with their varied songs.
Victor Correa, president, Derebail parish unit of Catholic Sabha, welcomed the gathering.
Derebail parish priest Fr Peter D’Souza, parish council vice-president Vincent Castelino, and former Derebail parishioner Fr Godfrey Saldanha were present on the dais.
Victor’s Mumbai music group consists of Derebail parishioners Lizy and Kenny, Veronica, Vivet, Mila, Robin, and Charles, besides local singers Rony Crasta, Zina Pereira, M N Kumar, Cyril, and Veronica.
The musical concert began with prayer song ‘Namo Namo’ followed by ‘Derebailcho Gaon’, ‘Kalakar’, ‘Evelynbai’, ‘Bav ani Baini’, ‘Mogachey Kagath’, ‘Trumphet’, ‘Mobile’, ‘Mother Theresa’, ‘Bombil’, ‘Idli and Chutney’, ‘Nachonk Mun’, ‘Poyee Poyee’, ‘Tara’, ‘Jejucho Hath Modla’, ‘Chowis Vara’, ‘Dubaichey Zita’, and other melodious renditions.
‘Bombil’ by Kenny brought appreciation from the audience as it characterized the much favoured sea food of Mumbai.
Victor was felicitated by Fr D’Souza who also released the parish directory.
Comedy troupe consisting of Felix Saldanha, Raymond Lobo, Pritam Almeida, and Leena Mascarenhas, enthralled the audience with jokes and mimicry based on current national events.
