Mangaluru: Help Sharal Monteiro to recover from cancer

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Mar 3: Sharal Monteiro, a young college student harbours many dreams. Hailing from Ballapadav, a village in Kasaragod district, she completed her matriculation with high scores despite several challenges. She also completed her first year PUC with good scores and participated enthusiastically in extracurricular activities.

But in 2018, while she was pursuing her II PUC, she fell sick. In spite of that, she completed her PUC and was looking forward to pursue higher studies. However, her health further deteriorated and she was forced to stop her studies.

She underwent medical tests and was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor with Lung and Mediastinal Metastasis (Cancer). She has undergone six weeks of VDA (SIOP 9 regimen) chemotherapy and is now advised for specialized treatment. The approximate cost for the surgery and other medical treatment is around Rs 8 lac.

Sharal’s father works as a carpenter and earns daily wages. Due to his daughter’s deteriorating health condition, he is unable to go to work regularly and spends most of his time in hospital attending to her.

Despite not earning regular income, Sharal’s family has spent Rs 3 lacs for investigations, diagnosis and treatment since the past two years. Same time, they are struggling to pay a house loan. Sharal’s brother got a job in Bengaluru but his salary is very low. Sharal’s sister is studying in 10th standard.

Daijiworld readers are known to be generous. Their generosity is highly proclaimed and has inspired others and instilled people's faith in humanity. This time, on behalf of Sharal, her parents are humbly appealing to the readers to help them save their daughter. They hope readers with their generous contributions will give Sharal a new and healthy life.

Dear daijiworld, it would help if you would provide details for Google pay or paytm. And to everyone out here. Please consider paying atleast 100rs. Even that lil amount adds to making a big sum. I have seen people collect u upto 14 lakhs by many donating even as little as 100rs.
