"The registration for the Army recruitment rally is already underway from February 14 and is going to end on March 20. Eligible youths between the age of 17 and 21 can take part in this drive. This rally is for youths from 11 districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Gadag, Haveri, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Davangere, Bagalkot and Uttara Kannada. The DC further said, "This is a great opportunity for the youth of our district, who want to serve the nation. The salary offered is Rs 32,000 during training. This will be hiked once the person is made permanent in the Army. It is true that youths of Dakshina Kannada district would not like to discontinue their education in order to join the Army, but there are plenty of opportunities in Army also to rise to higher ranks."

"The recruitment is being held for positions of storekeeper, soldier clerk, nursing assistant, soldier technical nursing assistant, soldier technical and soldier genera duty. The minimum qualification for all this position is completion of SSLC," said Col Fidosh P Dubash, director of Army recruitment.

Let the people first join Indian army before contesting any elections in India. It applies to GP to parliament. Let the people first serve in Indian army and then join politics.

Its quite well known that at the interview stage some people seek bribes in many parts of India . Since the salary is quite good, i m sure a few corrupt people will use this opportunity. Sadly its an open secret and no one has ever done anything about it.

Government servants, Politicians, first join and they must be a roll model to others. Many IAS officials have resigned and joined this dirty Politics . They should have joined army to serve the country. Our DC also can join army and can serve the nation along with youths.

Children of those who are in Bajrang Dal, VHP and especially Chaddi RSS should be sent to this recruitment.

Instead of barking from home and creating disturbances in society, they will serve some purpose, the real purpose for which they profess in a fake manner.

As far as my observation goes the lower level of recruitment in army is taken up only by lesser educated people, who cannot compete with others in the job market.

Only high ranked army officers are really educated and bold. So, naturally people of DK and Udupi, with the lure of gulf nations are not willing to join.

Yes. when we speak, we hail patriotism, but when it comes to personal comfort everyone prefers government jobs, which are easy, and where double the salary can be earned in bribe.
