Melbourne, March 6 (IANS): Kim Cotton of New Zealand and Ahsan Raza of Pakistan will stand as on-field umpires for the ICC women's T20 World Cup final, which will see four-time champions Australia take on first-time finalists India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

The match will take place on International Women's Day with New Zealand's Cotton taking charge of her first women's T20 World Cup final. The 42-year-old was one of the umpires in Australia's semifinal victory over South Africa in Sydney. Sunday's final will be her fifth match of the tournament.

Cotton will be joined on the field by Pakistani umpire Raza, who, like his colleague, will officiate in his maiden World Cup final. Raza was due to officiate in India's washed-out semifinal against England, while his experience of Australia-India contests stretches back to the 2017 women's World Cup semifinal.

Gregory Brathwaite of the West Indies will be the TV umpire for the final.

Zimbabwe's Langton Rusere, on-field official for the 2018 final, will be fourth umpire while Chris Broad of England will oversee the game as match referee.

Defending champions Australia beat South Africa to enter the final while India progressed to the final after their semifinal against England was washed out.

India had finished their group stage with eight points while England had six, which helped the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side reach their first ever T20 World Cup final.
