Bantwal, Nov 17:
The youth wing of Jamat-E-Islami Hind, Mangalore, has come to the rescue of the family of Abdul Hameed, who has been bed-ridden after a tragic fall into an open well four and a half years ago.

The office-bearers of the youth wing, on Monday November 16, visited him at his rented house in Sajipamuda Bollayi, near here, and assessed the existing economic situation of the family.

Meanwhile, the office-bearers assured Abdul’s family that their organization will bear the rent on their house for one year besides providing monthly rations and groceries.

Youth wing office-bearers also assured that they would try to contribute towards building a house for the family.

Youth wing district vice-president Mohammed Mohsin, secretary Moinuddin Kamar, social service unit vice-president Abdul Latif K K, Amir Siddique Kudroli, Asif Hussain Kudroli, and Student Islamic Organization western region president Shabbir Ahmed were present on the occasion.

The Daijiworld report on Abdul Hameed has evoked much interest among generous donors and social welfare organizations who have expressed an interest in extending financial help to the unfortunate family.

I am very happy to see that help has come to Abdul Hameed. Thanks to Daijiworld. However, it is ironic to note that an Islamic organisation has come forward to help. Where are all Christians, Hindus and others?. Why not cross religious boundaries and help a fellow human being?. In the end, we all are hypocrites.

First, Hats off to Daiji World for highlighting the destitutes. Second, Hats off to the youth wing of Jamat-E-Islami Hind for the helping move. This shows the diference between the two organisations - one is dedicated to help the poor and the other is hell bound to create unrest in the society. Keep up the good work Jamat-e-Islam
