Udupi: Paryaya Emblem Released, Reception Committee Office Inaugurated

Udupi, Nov 19: Sri Lakshmivarateertha Swamiji of Shirur Mutt released the emblem for his ensuing Paryaya term here on Wednesday November 18. He also inaugurated the new office of the Paryaya Reception Committree. Sri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji of Kemar Mutt participated in this programme and delivered benedictory address.



Shirur Mutt Swamiji, is set to take up his two-year Paryaya term from the present incumbent, Sri Sugunendrateertha Swamiji of Puttige Mutt, on January 18. Addressing those present, he explained that the main stress during his Paryaya period will be on enabling the devotees to have the darshan of the Lord without any hurdles, and to feed them sumptuous food. Cleanliness will get an added impetus during this period, he added, and sought the support and cooperation of everyone to make this happen.

The emblem has Lord Krishna seated on a cradle. Head of the Reception Committee, Pramod Madhwaraj, Ranjan Kalkura, Pradipkunar Kalkura, Krishnaraja Saralaya, Krishnamurty Samaga etc., were present. Latavya Acharya, Diwan of the Mutt, welcomed, Krishnamurty Acharya Kinnimulky compered the programme.
