Bantwal, Nov 20: All the nine persons arrested in connection with the assault and stone pelting incidents at Pallamajal near B C Road on Wednesday November 18 night, have been remanded to judicial custody till December 2.
Prakash, Navin, Suresh, Harish and Dinesh were arrested for throwing stones at Pallamajal mosque and the house of Aliamma, while Ahmed Shariff, Mohammed Hanif, Mohammed and Sadique were arrested for barging into the house of Shivaram Poojary and creating disturbances, besides pelting stones at Satish and Vasant, who were walking by the road.
Satish and Vasant, who were injured in the incident, were treated as out-patients at the local government hospital, while Shivaram Poojary has been admitted into the government hospital with injuries. Aliamma, whose house was also targetted, has been admitted into a private hospital.
