Kundapur: Tiger, Leopard Pelts and Claws Recovered – Three Arrested

Kundapur, Nov 24: A team of policemen, led by deputy superintendent of police, Vishwanath Pandit, arrested three men from Moodlakatte near here on Monday November 23, and recovered pelts of tiger and leopard, besides tiger claws valued at abut Rs 2.02 lac.

The police team, which interrogated a group of three persons standing near the Moodlakatte Road, after developing suspicion about their movements, recovered a pelt each of tiger and leopard, in addition to the tiger claws. The arrested persons have been identified as Manjunath Poojary, Manjunath Devadiga and Adarsh Shetty.

Udupi district superintendent of police, Pravin Madhukar Pawar, has announced a reward for the policemen involved with this operation. A case has been registered in the local police station.
