Mangaluru, Apr 13: President of Al-Madinatul Munavvara Moodadka educational council (AMEC) Ismail Al-Hadi Tangal, has offered the building of the institution for being used to quarantine non-resident Indians from Karnataka.

AMEC general manager Ashraf Sakhafi Madavu, and vice president Swalahuddin Sakhafi Madannur, in a release, said that AMEC, a Dakshina Kannada- based educational institute which was founded by non-resident Indians from Karnataka, and has long been extending its novel service in the fields of religious, social and academic fields, would be glad to provide its facilities if needed to quarantine tourists.

Ashraf Sakhafi Madavu noted that hundreds of Kannadigas who are in foreign countries for their livelihood, are facing hard times because of threats posed by coronavirus. Noting that the number of infected people has been rising alarmingly with each day, he has urged the government to ensure the safety of these people.

Marhoom T H Ustad had set up this institution at a hamlet named Moodadka in Tekkaru village, Beltangady taluk, in 2006. It has since been playing a great role in imparting religious and worldly education under a single roof and transform students into worthy citizens of the society.
