Gadag: Man who tried to imitate hanging loses life

Gadag, Apr 22: TikTok has become a popular app for many who now have enough time at their disposal now, having been confined to their homes on account of coronavirus scare. TikTok and several other apps, while providing entertainment to the people, also expose them to grave danger sometimes. There are examples of people losing their lives because of addiction to TikTok, and a youth from Gadag got added to the list of unfortunate victims of TikTok.

Prakash (26) from Gadag tried to imitate hanging. He wanted to show himself as having hanged himself. He had positioned his mobile phone on the windowsill and was trying to create TikTok video of his hanging. Unfortunately, he got trapped in the noose he had created for entertainment and was unable to wriggle out of danger.

The incident happened in the industrial area of Narasapur village in the taluk. Prakash was working for a bakery. On account of TikTok craze, he has lost his life now. Police personnel of the rural station here visited the spot, scrutinised details and registered case of unnatural death.

    Although some may see this as unfortunate, this is simply nature's way of selecting who will and who will not live. Stupidity and not Tik Tok is the cause of this. He just needed a reason to depart from earth.

    On the other spectrum you have people with low immunity struggling to survive on account of illnesses. Those with better immunity and timely healthcare will survive and those without will sadly go.

    Life goes on.. for those who are alive ...

    This Corona is a ticking time bomb from China ....and this
    Tik Tok is its distant cousin also from China.
    Of the 2 you can ban or show the gate to Tik Tok for sure.

    Bhandarkar Saheb,dont put the mistake on Corona,Every person or adult one knows what can happen with a noose or hanging .Mostly new generation is nowadays keen on posting,taking pictures and publish.They want likes or so on.One shouldnt play with a dangerous play kit.Bored kids or adults should find other time pass means ,help other victims of this corona .Heartfelt sympathys to his parents.Now his parents have the sad part of it.

    Can we ban stupidity? If tik tok is banned there are various other platforms for video sharing. Ultimate solution would then be to ban internet. But that's obviously not possible.
