Bangalore : Three from Dakshina Kannada Bag Attimabbe Literary Award

Bangalore, Dec 24: Ahmed Anwar, writer and photo journalist, M B Abdul Rehman, president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy and Shahnaz M, journalist and story writer bagged Attimabbe Literary Awards conferred by Attimabbe Sahitya Pratishtan.
The awards will be conferred at a glittering function scheduled to be held at Kannada Sahitya Parishat auditorium here on Sunday December 27.
About the Awardees
Ahmed Anwar: Bevu Bella, short poems of Ahmed Anwar was chosen for the award. His books Bharata Geeta, Gul Mohar, anthlogy, Nanna Kanasina Bharata, series of articles including Bevu Bella short poems have already been published.
Ahmed had won Pejavar Sadashiv Rao memorial award conferred by Mumbai Karnataka Sangh, Muslim Literary Award by Muslim Writers’ Association, Mangalore and Sneha Setu Award conferred by Sneha Setu Literary Organization.
M B Abdul Rehman: Bidugadeya Dari, poetry of M B Abdul Rehman was chosen for the award. His works Karnataka Bhu Sudharane, Ponchiri, Beary old adages including Bidugadeya Dari, anthology have already been published.
Bidugadeya Dari anthology by M B Abdul Rehman also bagged the prestigious Lankesh Award, Muslim Sahitya Award and the first Kannadiga Award by Kannada Sangha Sharjah.
Shahnaz M: Asare, Kannada novel of Shahnaz M was chosen for the award. Tiruvugalu and Mettilugalu both anthology, Antarangada Matu, collection of articles, Avala Dwani and Badukannu Preetisu, collection of articles including Asare, anthology are the six literary works already published.
Shahnaz M has also bagged Jeejabai Award, Kannada Kanmani Award, Neelaganga Endowment Award and Shadakshari Literary Award.
