Mangalore, Dec 24
: The Christian community all over the city celebrated the Christmas Eve to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, the saviour of mankind, in various churches, here on Thursday December 24.

The Christmas Eve was celebrated with Eucharistic Celebrations at various churches across the city on Thursday evening.  The Christmas festal Eucharistic Mass was held at Rosario Cathedral, here as an exception at 10.00 pm on Thursday December 24. Otherwise, the Christmas Eucharistic Celebrations in most of the parishes across the city began with the carol singing at 7.00 pm and the solemn Holy Mass was held at 7.30 pm on Thursday.

The Christmas cribs at the premises of various parishes presented an enlivening experience, especially to the little children. The city still holds the traditional Christmas by sharing the kuswar, varieties of goodies with the relatives and neighbours, to convey communal harmony among the people of diverse cultures and religions in society.
