Dubai: Sanjeeva S K to Present Tulu Play 'Yelle Yaan Kaasdaye'

Dubai, Dec 26: Soon there will be a whiff of fresh air to experience for Tulu theatre-lovers in the Emirates.
 
Sanjeeva S K, one of the pioneer Tulu theatre personalities now based in Mangalore, along with his troupe, will be presenting his Tulu play 'Yelle Yaan Kaasdaye' ('I would be a Moneyed Guy Tomorrow') in the Emirates English Speaking School auditorium at Al Safa, Dubai at  Sharp 5-30 pm on January 8, 2010.
 
This will be Sanjeeva's maiden show in the Gulf. He will be joined by other well-established artistes from Mangalore like Aravind Bolar, Sai Krishna, Bantwal Jayaram Achar, Gopinath Bhat, Pradeep Alva,Nagesh Dambel,Shashi Ejmadi,Sudhir,Vineeth Kumar,Arun Alva,Shobha Rai and Miss Chaitra.
 
Admission to the show is by invitation only. It would be rare chance for Tulu art-lovers to watch a Tulu show with a difference. 

Sanjeeva S K is one of the well-known playwrights in Tulu theatre circles and is popular among drama-lovers of not only Mangalore but of Dakshina Kannada as a whole.
 
Having founded the 'Kala Shilpa' organization in 1972, he has staged over 30 plays under this banner. He is one of the first writer-directors to have successfully arranged his shows in Mumbai. He has the credit of of having trained and supported many artistes and writers who have now made it big in this feild
 
Some of his successful plays are Madmeda Soku, Janma Sarthaka, Kalachakra, Undu Va Samaja, Badin Bandh Malpule, Dharmonu Dantnaga, Poper Barper, Yaan Naxalita?, Nirel, Nishchaya, Saiti Bokka Baruval and Yelle Yaan Kaasdaye.
