Bengaluru: Karnataka govt unveils helpline number for Kannadigas stranded across country

Bengaluru, Apr 27: Due to the lockdown enforced across the nation, mobility of Kannadigas in other states seems to be in a standstill. Various people from the state are spread across different parts of the country facing hardships. In this regard, the Karnataka government initiated a helpline to address the grievances of the Kannadigas of the state stranded all over the nation.

In the technical end, fifty people would be working in three shifts under the helpline installed at Kalyana Suraksha Bhavan at Dairy circle in Bengaluru.

Once the complaint is received, the helpline would contact the concerned officials to make arrangements for food and other essentials for the people of Karnataka who were unable to return to their homes due to the lockdown.

Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary had requested of the same and had discussed the issue with chief minister B S Yediyurappa earlier.

The helpline which would be functioning from April 27. The helpline number is 080 22636800.

    hello,
    we had come to Delhi for our govt exam preparations in December and the course we opted was for 4 months. The classes we could attend was just 2 months and then this corona broke out in the nation due to which institute was closed and now its been two months we both sisters are stuck in Delhi, we have tried all possible means but found disappointment and our family in Bangalore are also looking for all the means contacted govt officials too but no help was provided.

    Please its our request, please help.
