TN's Vellore admin removes walls on border roads


Chennai, Apr 28 (IANS): The Vellore district administration of Tamil Nadu has decided to bring down the two walls built by it on the road connecting Andhra Pradesh following the protest by the latter, said an official.

The temporary walls were built on the road leading to Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh to prevent movement of people between two states due to Coronavirus.

According to Vellore district administration official, the wall has been brought down.

The temporary walls were built on lesser known roads without damaging the road.

The Chittoor District Collector had spoken to his counterpart in Vellore and appraised of the difficulties faced by the people following with the decision to bring down the wall was taken.
