Mangalore, Dec 29: A portal, exclusively meant for the Catholic weddings, promoted by Angel Communications, www.mangalorewedding.com, was launched on Monday December 28, at the audio-visual room of St Aloysius College by Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief of Daijiworld.com.

Speaking on the occasion, Nandalike expressed the opinion that the newly created website aims at pursuing a noble mission meant to serve the people, by making easier for the needy to avail all the information required in connection with marriages. Such a website was the need of the day for the society, and the wishes of the people, who were feeling the absence of such a website, will get fulfilled with the launching of this site, he said.

Fr Stany Goveas blessed the occasion and said in his message that the society needs such a website, which makes it convenient for the marriages or getting a life partner easier, by providing information in a systematic manner . He wished all the success for the innovative venture started by Angel Communications.

The mangalorewedding.com website is equipped with special features relating to weddings and all the information related to marriage. The details of halls, caterers, wedding card printers, comperes, music band, photography, tailors, florists and every thing that is needed at the time of marriage and prior to marriage have been provided in the website. The articles relating to the subject will be published by the website every month by well-known writers and contributors.

Renowned writer, J F D’Souza, was the guest of honour at the programme. Marketting head of the website, Dolphy Noronha, was honoured during the programme. Editor of the website, Marcel D’Souza (Machcha Milar) welcomed. Liza D’Souza rendered the prayer at the beginning and proposed vote of thanks. Kenet D’Souza delivered an introductory talk on the website. Proprietor of Angel communications, Janet D’Souza, was also present.

Angel Communications, with its office at Milagres Centre near Hampanakatta in the city, has published 'Wedding Pages', providing informations relating to weddings.  The portal has also detailed information on Christian Marriages Act and will conduct contests for its readers.
