9 new coronavirus cases raise Karnataka tally to 532


Bengaluru, Apr 29 (IANS): Nine more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Karnataka in the past 19 hours, taking the total number of corona patients in the state to 532, an official said on Wednesday.

"Till date, 532 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed. This includes 20 deaths and 215 discharges," a health official said.

Eight more COVID-19 patients have been discharged, taking the total number of coronavirus recovered persons in the state to 215.

Among the nine new cases, five are women and four men. There are five below 17, including a 4-year-old girl.

All the nine new cases are contacts of earlier cases and below 40 years of age, with eight cases emerging from Kalaburagi and another one from Hukkeri in Belagavi.
