Chikkamagaluru, Apr 30: The doctors strive hard to protect the health of the people and to save them from life-threatening diseases, and face grave risk in serving the patients. The conviction and nobility with which the doctors serve the people deserve to be appreciated from the depths of our hearts.

For the use of such doctors, a youth from here has invented smart stethoscope. This stethoscope helps the doctors to check the patents from a distance without touching them.

There have been instances both in India and abroad of getting infected with coronavirus disease when treating the people. There were also cases of doctors offering to resign because of the danger of falling sick. With the specific objective of saving the doctors from getting infected with this disease, the youth from here has invented something that could prove to be a great invention in medical field.

The stethoscope makes it easy to heck coronavirus-affected people. The doctors can, from the comforts of the place where they are seated, can examine the patients located somewhere else. The youth who has invented this device is Adarsh, who is working as lab researcher at IIT Mumbai. He belongs to Koppa taluk in this district.

By using this stethoscope, the doctors can check heart beats, breathing etc of the patients by using mobile phones or laptops. This is a new arm in the armoury to fight against coronavirus. With the help of Bluetooth of the stethoscope, the patients can be checked from elsewhere. This stethoscope helps doctors to check symptoms of the disease without going near the patients.

Innovation is always welcome but then it is not a stethoscope anymore. If a doctor is at risk to place a stethoscope on infected chest then a patient can stand in front of a machine and chest noise can be transmitted to any computer. I believe so called smart stethoscope has been around for a long time

How important is stethoscope in treating patient. In India this device is an identify of a doctor, whereas outside India, I hardly see any doctor using stethoscope except in case of checking the blood pressure.

    Congrats!

I heard that Government has stoped testing Plasma treatment. That is very successful in kerala. Once Government gave permission to test Plasma methods and suddenly stopped. I hope now the government will not interfere in this matter. Beat of luck to Adarsh, lab technician.
