Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, May 1: The state government has given a shock to medical students, who are putting in their best efforts along with doctors and other health professionals in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

The government has taken out an order in which the fee for medical seats is increased exorbitantly.

The state is under lockdown. None of the colleges including medical and engineering are functioning in the state. All students are on holidays. However, those medical students, who have completed MBBS are involved in taking care of the coronavirus patients. They are dreaming of higher education like MD and MS. But the government has increased their burden by raising the fee.

The course fee for medical and dental sciences is increased as per the order. This is applicable to private medical college, private university and deemed universities. Under private quota, a fee hike of 30 per cent is done and for government quota, the fee is hiked by 20 per cent.

The state government had taken out a circular asking the private schools in the state not to increase the fee due to the adverse conditions faced by the parents during the nation-wide coronavirus pandemic. However, it has increased the fee for MD and MS medical seats. The fee is applicable to the new academic year of 2020-21.

May be they are comparing with the European and US. Some parents send their children to do post graduation to foreign countries because Indias fee is very less.
But now if you compare , Students who studied in India are more intelligent and better Doctors . Example all these best foreign countries are struggling to contain carona virus .
