Kolar, May 1: In a bold move, tahsildar of Kolar, Shobhitha, entered a mosque where people were offering namaz in group and took them into custody.

Though time and again it has been made very clear that people should not visit religious places and offer prayers in group, 11 people were offering namaz at a masjid in the district.

Though women are not allowed inside the masjid, Shobitha broke the rule, in order to uphold the rules framed by the administration in the fight against the dreaded coronavirus pandemic. Her video of entering the masjid has gone viral on social media. She also holds the distinction of being the first woman to enter the masjid.

Acting on definite information that a group of people are offering namaz at a masjid opposite to the municipal hospital of Kolar, Shobhitha entered the mosque and questioned the people whether they are unaware of the lockdown rules. She also asked her personnel to lock them inside the mosque itself and not to allow them outside.

This bold action by the lady tahsildar is lauded by each and every one.
