New Delhi, May 1 (IANS): The South-West district administration has directed scaling down of the containment operations at Shahjahanabad society in sector 11 in Dwarka as no positive case was reported from the zone in the last 28 days.
South-West DM Rahul Singh has issued an order regarding this saying while the operations will be scaled down, the SHO and the survey team will keep strict vigil in the society to make sure that there should be minimum movement of people, the DM office said on Friday.
"The Shahjahanabad Co-operative Housing Society Ltd Plot No 1, Sector-11, Dwarka Phase 1, New Delhi was declared as a containment zone on April 8 after detecting six residents as COVID-19 positive," the DM office said in a statement.

The order cites the guidelines of Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare that "operations will be scaled down if no secondary laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case is reported for at least four weeks and after the last confirmed test has been isolated and all his contacts have been followed up for 28 days".
After the authorities confirmed that the conditions for scaling down were fulfilled, the District Magistrate directed to scaled down the containment process in Shahjahanabad society, Dwarka with the direction to ease the restrictions.
"Concerned authorities/officers had been directed to keep strict vigil for minimum movement of people, proper checking and screening for next 14 days and the medical authorities shall continue regular follow up action in the society. People of the society, vendors and hawkers etc will maintain social distancing proper hygiene and cover face with masks," the statement from the DM office said.
"The SDM (Dwarka) will ensure proper checking and screening in the society for next 14 days. Further, every person of the society will maintain social distancing as well as no such person will come outside the house without covering their face with 3-ply mask or handmade washable cloth mask, in any case," the order said.
It added that all other directions issued by the government related to the lockdown have to be followed in letter and spirit.
This will be the fourth red zone in Delhi which will be scaled down.
Two locations in East Delhi and one in South-East district were de-contained as of now. About 95 red zones are still active in the city.
