Bantwal, May 2: A team of policemen led by police sub-inspector of Vittal station, Vinod K S, intercepted an auto rickshaw for checking. It was found that 35 kg of beef was being transported without any supportive documents in the said three-wheeler. The incident happened at Kolnadu Talithanooji near Vittal on Friday May 1.

Vittal police sub-inspector along with some policemen were on patrol duty near Talithanooji school in Kolnadu village when they saw that an auto rickshaw carrying beef was moving towards Kodapadavu from the direction of Marakkada Bailu. The vehicle was signalled to stop but the driver escaped, leaving the vehicle behind. A verification of the vehicle revealed that beef was being taken in the auto rickshaw for selling after illegally slaughtering a cow.

The police have confiscated the beef as well as the auto rickshaw. A case stands registered in Vittal police station. Investigation is on.

There is no restriction for any kind of meat in the secular countries around the world.
But why these restrictions in this secular country alone ?? 🙄🙄

In China, it is legal to eat dog meat. In the USA, it is illegal to eat dog meat. Both are secular countries. Is it anti-secular for the USA make it illegal for dogs to be eaten, despite it going against deeply held cultural values and traditions of the nation?

Different nations have different cultures and traditions. In India, cows are venerated. In the USA, dogs are seen as being members of the family. Therefore, despite both being secular nations, they place restrictions on the slaughter of certain animals that the people of those nations feel strong emotions toward. It is really as simple as that.

Please do not abuse the principle of secularism simply because you disagree with the culture and traditions of the nation.

Our country is called Hindusthan, not christianstan or muslimstan. Slaughter of cows are illegal even in our constitution, its the culture of our land, adjust to it or move to a place where it is allowed.

India being the highest exporter of beef in the world is a sheer myth to defame the country. India is the biggest exporter of buffalo meat and not cow meat

Dude, kindly read Article 48 of our constitution !!! It explicitly and clearly declares, that slaughter of cows, calves and other milch and draught cattle, is Prohibited in India !!!! Hence there is only one logical conclusion..... follow the diktat of the constitution and abide by its rules !!!!
