Lockdown: Cancellation of passenger train services to continue until May 17

New Delhi, May 3: In view of the precautionary measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, the Ministry of Railways has decided to cancel all the passenger train services, Mail/Express (including premium trains) in the Indian Railways including Konkan Railway until May 17.

However, movement of migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded at different places will be carried out by Shramik Special Train, as required by the state governments, according to the guidelines issued under Ministry of Home Affairs.

To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, movement of Ro-Ro, goods and parcel trains will continue.

The Railways also barred advance reservations until further advice.
