Noida, May 3 (IANS): The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration have made arrangements to send 1,184 school and college students back to their homes.
All the students have been sent to their homes from different centres of the district in 51 buses in joint action by the district administration, police and transport department led by COVID-19 officer-in-charge Narendra Bhushan and District Magistrate Suhas L.Y.
Officer-in-Charge and Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Munindra Nath Upadhyay said that "all the 1,184 children have been sent to their destinations with social distancing in all buses. All the children have enough to eat. Food packets and water bottles have been made available and they have been trained to reach home and stay home quarantined for 14 days."
He added that "after sanitizing all the buses, all the children have been sent through social distancing and boarded the buses as well as 1,184 children in the district were registered on the app scheduled to go to their homes."
The number of patients infected with coronavirus in Gautam Buddh Nagar has increased to 167 in Noida. At the same time, 101 people have recovered and gone home, while 66 infected patients are being treated in Noida hospitals.
