22 MPs elected to Committee on Public Undertakings


New Delhi, May 4 (IANS): A total of 22 MPs from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have been elected to serve on the Committee on Public Undertakings.

The Committee will serve with effect from May 1 for the term of 2020-2021 ending on April 30, 2021.

Of the 22 members in the Committee, 15 are from the Lok Sabha and seven from the Rajya Sabha.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has appointed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Delhi Meenakshi Lekhi as Chairperson of the Committee.

Heena Vijay Kumar Gavit, Chandra Prakash Joshi, K. Kanimozhi, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju Kanumuru, Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam, Ajjunlal Meena, Janardan Mishra, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Saugata Roy, Arvind Kumar Sharma, Ravneet Singh, Sushil Kumar Singh, Uday Pratap Singh and Ramdas Chandrabhanji Tadas are the members from the Lok Sabha and Prasanna Acharya, Birendra Prasad Baishya, Anil Desai, Joginipally Santosh Kumar, Om Prakash Mathur, Surendra Singh Nagar and M. Shanmugam from the Rajya Sabha.
