Govt extends date for reimbursement of OPD medicine for CSMA beneficiaries


New Delhi, May 6 (IANS): In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, the government decided to extend the date for reimbursement of OPD medicine for the Central Services Medical Attendance (CSMA) beneficiaries.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a memorandum regarding reimbursement of OPD medicine for the CSMA beneficiaries.

In the memorandum dated May 5, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India Bimal Kumar directed all ministries and government departments to convey extension of earlier timeline for a further period of one month upto May 31.

"In continuation of our earlier O.M. (office memorandum) of even number dated April 1, the undersigned is directed to convey extension of earlier timeline till 30.04.2020 for a further period of one month upto 31.05.2020..." said the memorandum.

The copy of the memorandum was also sent to PS to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and MoS Ashwani Choubey.
