Chandigarh, May 6 (IANS): From Thursday, booze lovers in Punjab can get liquor delivered at their doorsteps during the lockdown, according to the Excise and Taxation Department order, here on Wednesday.
A maximum of two litres of alcohol, barring state made liquor, can be ordered, says the order. The delivery will be carried out by two employees of a liquor vend.
The timing for the home delivery of liquor would be decided by the Deputy Commissioners in each district, an official told IANS.
Liquor shops in the non-containment areas in Punjab will start operating on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the state government has changed the timing for opening of shops. The new timings will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
