Moodbidri: ‘Alva’s Virasat’ Concludes on Spectacular Note

Moodbidri, Jan 10: ‘Alva’s Virasat–2010’, the cultural extravaganza of music, art, and dance which enthralled viewers for five days, instituted by Alva’s Education Foundation, concluded on Sunday January 10.

Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva has been organizing this mega festival over the past 14 years. It has provided a platform to stage the cultural heritage of various states and regions. 

It’s also significant that the popularity of the event has attracted the national winners of dance contests on Sony TV who enthralled the audience here on Sunday night.  










































Prince Dance Group from Orissa, Blends Dance Group of Kolkata, Langus Dance Group of Ujjain, and other similar teams from all over the country entertained the viewers with their distinct dances.

Aflam Khan Gymnastics Troupe of Jodhpur staged a breath-taking gymnast’s show which the viewers watched with awe.  
Purulia Chaaya Group from West Bengal staged ‘Mahishasura Mardini’, a mythological episode through dance. 

Thousands of viewers arrived specially at the venue to attend the last day’s programme.

    Great art promotion by Dr.Mohan Alva - its a extravagance par excellence - Beautifully decorated stages to the cleaniness of the venue. He has made Mijar/Mangalore a place to reckon in art promotion
