From the Natural Relief Disaster Fund 2.9 crore has been sanctioned for Mangalore. A part of this amount is for Quarantine also. Now will the Administration/ MP and MLA 's Open their eyes to help the Gulf passangers not pay for Hostel and Hotels for Quarantine. It's a sin for the government taxing the Gulf people when their visa are cancelled. So many have lost Jobs etc. And still the administration is charging 1000 to 4500 per day for hotels plus food but putting them in in Quarantine for 14 days. A part from that 14 days Home Quarantine. The Karnataka government and the Local administration should see how neighboring Stat Kerala Government doing an excellent job by helping the Gulf returned. They are not charging for Quarantine for14 days.

Every time I write about NRIs, they reply with figures of foreign remittances they made. They deposit money in their own account. And they only spend it. Then how Govt gets benefit from this.

If you are thinking that foreign exchange reserve is entirely depend on the NRIs remittance, then its your misunderstanding. This is a peanut. A small export unit can earn much more foreign exchange than NRIs remittance.

Have you anytime heard Govt encouraging people to go to gulf to work, so that govt can get foreign exchange? Don't fool us.

People don't have money for flight ticket, don't have money to pay quarantine hotels, no money for food, they don't even have medical insurance.

And here one person talking about buying flat, posh car. Good joke.

Entire income remitted by an NRI to India is an income for the country. It's like exporting people to different nations and importing Forex from them. Almost every NRI doesn't keep money stashed in bank accounts, they have spent on properties and paid good tax amounts. One time tax and annual taxes. For example, I paid more than 12 lakhs in just taxes for a property deal. I hope you never paid that much taxes in ur life.

They know Mangalore people are educated and go out of the way to spend from their pockets. Our leaders also know the people will not protest as they know they have voted them without any thought.

If Chikmagalur can get a medical college to understand their control of the government. Mangalore still struggles to get Govt. Medical college. If such a facility was there then we would have a govt. hospital with more beds and more doctors to treat the patients with better facilities.

Today all the institutions who were using the Wenlock facility for their students have shut their schools and colleges and the hospital is left to fend to itself with few government doctors and staff We see more COVID patients dying. What is the percentage?. I think it is more than 30% and we are a smart city.
