Kuwait: Tulu Koota Bids Farewell to Fr Melvin, Fr Theo

Kuwait, Jan 15: Tulu Koota Kuwait, one of the largest Mangalorean associations arranged a farewell party for Fr Melvin D’Cunha, parish priest of Holy Family Cathedral and Fr Theo Fernandes, parish priest of Our Lady Of Arabiya Church Ahmedi at Caesars Restaurant, Fahaheel here on Friday January 15.

Vice-president Pascal Pinto gave a brief introduction of all the priests. Outgoing priests Fr Melvin D’Cunha and Fr Theo Fernandes were honoured by Sudhakar Shetty, Swarna Shetty, new president of TKK, Vivek Rao and Pascal Pinto.





























 

The four priests spoke on the occasion and expressed their feelings. New priest Fr John Harry D’Souza with his great humour and fluent Tulu won the hearts of people.

A warm welcome was accorded to the new priests Fr Andrew Fernandes and Fr John Harry D’Souza, appointed to serve Ahmedi parish. 

Shalini Alva compered the function and General Secretary Sathya Narayana Salian delivered the vote of thanks. Caesars Restaurant sponsored lunch for the programme.
