Moodbidri: Man who committed suicide out of corona fear, tests positive

Moodbidri, May 21: A person who committed suicide reportedly out of fear about COVID-19 and about the ways he could sustain himself hereafter and about the means of his future livelihood, tested positive on Friday May 22.

The person had come back from Mumbai was quarantined here. He was a resident of Kadandale.

He had been admitted into the quarantine created in Kadandale school at around 1 am on Thursday May 21. He ended his life before 3 am, said sources.

The deceased's swab was tested on the same day. The report came as positive on Friday. He was cremated at Boloor burial ground according to government guidelines.
