‘No total lockdown on May 31’, announces chief minister Yediyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 30: Taking into account public demand and in the best interests of the people from the state, the government has decided against clamping of total lockdown on Sunday May 31.

The chief minister has announced that all routine activities will be in operation as usual.

As per the guidelines in force in the state from May 18 to May 31, movement of all non-essential activities and individuals was banned from 7 pm to 7 am the next day. In addition, movement of non-essential activities and movement of individuals were also banned on all Sundays from 7 am to 7 pm (total lockdown). For this purpose, curfew was imposed by local authorities under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code.

In partial modification of the said order, concession from curfew has been extended from 7 am to 7 pm on Sunday May 31 as per the request of the people in general instead of lockdown. The curfew however will be in force from 7 pm to 7 am the next day, the state chief secretary T M Vijay Bhaskar, who also happens to be the chairman of the executive committee of Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority, stated.

Lockdown 4.0 is currently in place nationwide. The nationwide lockdown was initially imposed from March 25 to April 14, then extended to May 3, again to May 17 and finally to May 31, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

    Prabhakar
Who told last week it was for Ed mubarak?
For your information right from UGADI, RAM NAVAMI, GOOD FRIDAY, EASTER SUNDAY, VISHU HANUMAN JAYANTHI all celebrated during Covid 19 lock down
That too at that time it was open for just 3 or 4 hours.
So don't try tocommunalize the Govt order on lock down

See we can comment biriyani korirutti sewiya communal whatever we like as long as Daiji posts it but there is no point.
But seriously think about it...why total lockdwn last Sunday and no lockdwn this Sunday??That too very strict lockdwn..no vehicles nothing..even our Dc ordered lati charge if people come out? Why? Why people not allowed to atleast move like any other days?? Now.lets come back to no lockdwn tommrw why?? Are the corona cases come down from last week??Answer is No. Infact incteased.
No doubt yeddi is kind hearted man but his team is not so good..otherwise kota minister would not only request opening temples fron June 1. That is later the govt. realised that opening only temples will create another problem!!!Commonsense.

What government parties will gain or lose when they make complete lockdown?? Individual will lose life right! If they don't allow to celebrate occasion for certain people, they saved spreading virus in their communities. If they open lockdown completely who will dare to go? The person who doesn't care about his life or other ..whatever happens, happenes for good. Keep trust on creator
