Sena Dares SRK to Include Pak Players in Kolkata Knight Riders

>Mumbai, Jan 29 (PTI) Shiv Sena on Friday attacked Shah Rukh Khan for lamenting exclusion of Pakistani players from IPL and dared him to take the players in his team Kolkata Knight Riders.

"If Shah Rukh wants Pakistani players to play here, he should go to Karachi and Islamabad to play with them...If he includes Pakistani players in his team, he should be aware of the consequences," Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut told reporters here.

Reacting to the non-selection of Pakistani players in the IPL auction, Bollywood star and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders Shah Rukh Khan had recently said that they (Pakistani players) should have been welcomed.

"I truly believe they (Pakistan players) should have been chosen," Khan had said.
"We would have loved to have Pakistani players if they were made available legally," he had said.

Meanwhile, protesting the actor's comment, Sena activists tore posters of SRK's upcoming movie 'My Name Is Khan' at Eternity Mall premises in neighbouring Thane.

The activists handed over a letter to the owner of the mall asking to stop release of the movie.

While not an admirer of Mr. Thakeray or a supporter of Shah Rukh, I must endorse Mr. Thackeray on this delicate issue. Sorry Shah Rukh, you have to grow up keeping buisiness aside.Pakistan, despite Indias tolerance on the games Pakistan plays against India, it is unfortunate, that the players have to suffer. I think India had enough of Pakistan.

Either Pakisatn is with India or against India, for now every instance from terrorism to border infiltratrion to violence in J&K, Pakistan is supporter or on looker of these violence. When the culprits operate from Pakistan and doing all things against India it has done nothing concrete to eliminate these outfits or terrorists. Indias softness towards Pakistan should stop unless Pakistan is sincere, serioous and steadfast in its doings and dealings with fairness and openness. India can handle Pakistan solely. Manmohans government is too soft on Pakisatn when all evidence shows that Mumbai terror is grown from Pakistans soil.

I appreciate the efforts and guts of SRK who dare to talk the issue. His movies are famous in Pakistan for ages before the IPL started.Sena people have lost the sportsman spirit. They want a issue to survive along with thier party as the Tiger is getting Old.Terrorism is all over the world and it is in pakistan too.Cricket is a sport that India is crazy about and if you are not ready to take them means you are not a true sports man.The bidders are only interested in money and today IPL has become a licenced cassino for the people who have big money.

I fully agree with Shahanwaz. The PAK players are not playing because, all franchises are scared to take them because they may not get visa to enter in and if they get visa the security system has to active more than usual. If Khan is so concern for PAK players he would have taken to his team after talking to his co owners. Khan’s statement clearly explains that, he want to promote his movie in Pakistan. In his ways of business he is right and Shivsena can’t even stop his popularity and banning his upcoming movie. They lost their job and only jobless dumpers give these kinds of statements. Awaiting upcoming movie- “My name is Khan”. Jai ho Khan

What Sene said is right and what it did in response to SRKs statement is wrong. No body should take laws in their hands. Pakistan is a sworn enemy of India and we should not allow Pak players to play with India not only at present but also in the future. SRK wanted to indirectly promote his new film in Pakistan by earning their sympathy. Thats it.

As an principle Political issue should not overshadow sports. But Sena is making a point based on the fact that terrorism is an act of war. Imran Khan turns out to be the spokes person of Taliban, hence we have to be cautious on pakistani playes association with banned organization such as Taliban.

Every Indian want to punish Pakistani terrorist for thier role in 26/11 & wipeout terror camps. We have elected Government both in Center & State. Both the governments are so powerful, that first time Pakistan under our controle & world recognised Pakistan is the labouratory for terrorist. I am proud to be the citizen of India & proud to be called my India as one of the successful democretic on earth since 6 decades. Where as some outfits like Shiva sainiks above Indian constitution & law...? Businesman, Cricketer & Film star must get permission from Shiv Sainik to express thier openion ? Can we think freedom of speach, freedom of expression no meaning in Mumbai city..?? One hand, SS advising our great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to mind on ground not on politics and another hand SS involving on cricket matters. If Sachin tendulkar has no right to talk about mumbai or politcs then SS has no right on comments about cricket. I wish & request SS to travel Pakistan or join US forces to fight againest LET, rather than damaging property and image of mumbai.

If Shah-rukh wants to play the Pakis he should invest his money in starting a league in Pakistan. The Pakis have perpetually created trouble in India. There is no need for normal relations with them. Also, it is Indian Premier League and not South Asian/Indo-Pak Premier League. However, I do not support the action of Shiv sena to ban his movies and threaten theater owners. But I guess in a developing society these things are normal. "The Da-Vinci Code" was screened without any trouble in the US. But was either banned or the shows stopped in Andhra!

While I think that PAK players could have been included, I also think the PAK players could do more to condemn extremism unlike imran khan who supports the taliban, maybe they will learn from this, the same lesson goes for the extremism in India as well, folks are getting more extreme, fanatic and radical just like the taliban.
