Mangalore: Miscreants Target Two Mosques in Kumpala

Mangalore, Jan 31: In simultaneously triggered incidents in Kumpala under Ullal police station limits, two mosques and one orphanage was targeted by a group of miscreants in the wee hours of Sunday January 31.
The president and Jamaat members of Noorani Juma Masjid in a complaint to superintendent of police stated that a group of local youth barged into the mosque compound on the national highway at about 2.00 am in the morning and broke two window panes by pelting stones.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Noor – ul- Islam Juma Masjid was also targeted by the miscreants, who hurled stones at the mosque resulting in an inmate of its yateemkhana, 14-year-old Roshan being injured. He was admitted to a local private hospital in Tokkottu.
SP Dr Subrahmanyeshwar Rao visited the spot. Additional police force has been deployed at the spot.
