Mangalore: The Countdown Begins For ACME 2010

Mangalore, Feb 2: ACME, a national level inter-collegiate business fest organized by the commerce association of St Aloysius College will be held on February 3 and 4.
It is indeed a most awaited event in the college. The planning, organizing and anticipation has sent the stress levels of students spiraling above the normal level but at the end they know it will be worth it.
The commerce association of St Aloysius College is a vibrant association with Veena Kumari as president and Brandon Miranda and Jane Fiona D’Souza as student secretaries. Every year association organizes ACME embarking upon new heights. ACME will be marking decennial celebration this year which makes it even more significant.
The theme Acme 2010 is “The Business of Fashion”. This unique theme has been chosen incorporating the business events along with the fashion business. It is an innovative and challenging theme chosen by the commerce students. The Suave Financier, Agency, Trendsetters, Hemmingway’s Locker, Showstopper and Faux Pas are the events to be held at ACME 2010. A new event called ‘The Showdown’ has been planned by the students. It is an event which includes knowledge, practicality, creativity and wit.
Around nine colleges from Mangalore, Bangalore, Udupi and Ujjire will participate in ACME 2010.
The fest intends to promote team work and provide a platform for students to develop their organizing skills. It is a good learning experience and the students can work on their strengths and weaknesses. It helps in creating a good sense of competitiveness with an outlet to exhibit their talents.
