I congratulate wholeheartedly the organizers of the Mangalore National Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises at the SDM College. Small Business groups play an important role in the economic survival and growth in any country, specially in India and China where population is growing with so much of entrpreneural spirit added with innovative capability prevailing in every segment of the business and industry. In America more than eighty percent of business and eonomy is controlled by Small and Medium sized business and industry. "Mom and Pop" business entity is a thriving sector of the economy in America where the City, State and Federal Government renders so much of financial and technical support added with tax protections and incentives. Even the World Bank as well as Eximbank and OPIC provide so much of incentives and protections to small business not only within the country but also to pursue international business. I wish SDM College best of success in all their future efforts in promoting small business and I would be more than delighted to make a prsentation on Small Business during my next trip to Mangalore.

The growing population of India with so much of education, knowledge and trading experience should do everything possible to encourage and support Small Business entrepreneurs so that business communities will continue to succeed and flourish in India creating more jobs, more employment and most importantly more economic and political stability in our great nation.
