Mangalore: Special Retreat in Kannada Concludes at DCC, Mulky

Mangalore, Feb 21: A five-day residential retreat in Kannada concluded at Divine Call Centre (DCC), Mulky here on Friday February 20.

It was specially organized in preparation for Lent as an opportunity to renew people’s life in the Lord. The Divine Call Centre Retreat team conducted the first two days of retreat and the Potta team continued it for next three days.



Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza celebrated the Holy Eucharist on Thursday February 18.The Potta team led by Fr Anto Kannampuzah conducted the healing service on the final day of the retreat.

More than Nine hundred people participated on the final day. The thirst for the word of God and a desire to lead a ‘spirit filled’ life was quite evident among the participants. They were full of praise to God and thanked him for his miracles. Many gave testimony to the benefits they received during the retreat which included physical healings, mental peace, and relief from various kinds of bondages, gift of forgiveness and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

On the occasion, the Divine Call Centre, Mulki ventured into yet another innovative way to reach out to the faithful by providing Bible quotes through SMS on their cell phones on a daily basis. It was launched at the Centre, after the Holy Eucharistic Celebration by Fr Anto Kannampuzha of Potta Team. He inaugurated the “Divine SMS” project by sending the first SMS to his grace Arch Bishop Leo Cornelio SVD, chairman, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) - commission for youth and co-chairman of CBCI commission for social communications
