Shimoga: Five Killed in Bus Accident

Shimoga, Feb 26: Five passengers were killed on the spot as a private bus turned turtle following a tyre puncture on Shimoga-Sagar Road near PES Engineering College here on the night of Thursday February 25.
 
Two men, two women and a child are among the dead. The deceased have been identified as Manjunath (65) of Harnahalli, Babu (35). However, the identity of the two womwn, one among them a septuagenarian and a three-year-old baby girl is yet to be ascertained, said the police.

More than ten passengers who were injured in the accident have been admitted Government Meggan Hospital. The bus was heading towards Harnahalli from Shimoga carrying over 50 passengers when one of the tyres of the bus exploded causing the accident.
